  These guys are so good. I recently bought an old car and went to a different mechanic who quoted me over $2000 worth of repairs saying my shock absorbers were soft and they all needed replacing along with god knows what. I had looked on the vicroads regulations and read that as long as the shockers weren't leaking then it was roadworthy. It didn't sit right with me so I spoke to the guy I had bought the car off and he said it sounded really dodgy so recommended Brunsick Auto & Gas as he had taken the car to see them before. Chris at Brunswick Auto & Gas said he'd take a look at it for me. He saw me 2 days later and by mid morning had told me that the previous mechanic were having me on. Although they were soft - this was due to the age of the car - they were still functioning and within RWC guidelines.
  
  By midday I had paid for MINOR repairs and walked out with my RWC.
  
  I cannot rate these guys higher and I can genuinely say I'll be a regular customer. I hope by leaving this review it'll save someone else from being ripped off by the dodgy mechanics out there trying to make a buck out of someone. If you're looking for a decent trustworthy mechanic, these are your guys.

  not the cheapest place around but they do a pretty good job and they have been pretty trustworthy so far. i also had some issues with my LPG and i took it to 2 or 3 other mechanics who did nothing for it. These guys sorted it out and Ive been going back ever since. at least they are up front about the work and they havent tried to sneak anything extra in.
  
  they are actually a nice/friendly bunch of mechanics who have taken a bit of time to sort out a fair few issues on my old car. they aren't perfect, but when they havent done something right, ive taken it back and they have sorted it out straight away.
